Yorton homebred & Yorton Sale graduate, SOLOMOON (3yo gelding) produced an extremely impressive performance at Doncaster this afternoon in the colours of Yorton Racing (25/11/22)

Having not shown his true running on his debut based on his home work, Solomoon was again running in a NH Junior Hurdle, a new series to the UK programme book in 2022. Confidently ridden by David England, the Pether’s Moon 3yo was settled beautifully throughout & when his rider produced him half way down the home straight, he responded by quickly going clear of his closest rival to score by over 5 lengths.

Out of the Solon mare Solojorie who herself was a Listed winner on the flat, Solomoon is the third winner for his sire in as many weeks following the impressive Bumper winner Lunar Discovery & Novices’ Hurdle winner, Moon Hunter.

Solojorie foaled a full brother to Solomoon this year who looks set to appear in a Yorton Sale in due course.
