Having only his third start over fences, GENTLEMANSGAME (7yo G. Gentlewave) stormed to victory in the bet365 Charlie Hall Chase, Grade 2, an iconic pre-Christmas chase.

Jumping fluently & accurately throughout in the Brian Acheson (Robcour) silks, the Luck Family & Yorton co-bred gelding kicked clear of Bravemansgame in the run up the Wetherby hill with the front pair well clear of Midnight River & the pulled up Ahoy Senor. Trainer Mouse Morris won the Cheltenham Gold Cup with War of Attrition & he pointed to the March show piece as the main target for the striking grey who was sold off the farm privately as a foal to the Bleahen brothers, great supporters of Yorton themselves.

The son of Gentlewave will now likely head to Leopardstown’s Christmas meeting where he will look to further enhance his already sizeable reputation.
