Easter Winners Headlined By Daughter Of Postponed

Easter has proved a very fruitful few days for the Yorton team on the winners front headlined by FAMILIAR DREAMS (pictured) winning the LISTED Mares’ N.H. Flat Race at the Fairyhouse Grand National Festival on Saturday (30/3/24)

A daughter of new resident POSTPONED, the 5yo Anthony McCann trained mare was never headed throughout the contest to win comfortably beating four previous winners in the process. This was her third victory in a row which was especially impressive on testing ground & she is clearly tough enough to continue her rise.

Another winner at the Easter Festival came in the shape of the Yorton bred & Sale graduate, REDEMPTION DAY who won the concluding Bumper yesterday (Monday) in the hands of Jodie Townend for Willie Mullins. Having been third in a Gr.2 Bumper on his latest start, the son of Blue Bresil has had an interrupted career but looks to have retained all of his Gr.1 form as he now looks to tackle obstacles going forward. Redemption Day was sold at the 2019 Yorton Sale to Donnchadh Doyle as a 2yo.

MORE SALE SUCCESS

Two further Yorton Sale graduates also hit the target over the last few days with WONDERWEASLE the first to strike on Sunday at Ffos Las for Tim Vaughan. Also bred by Yorton, the daughter of Clovis Du Berlais was breaking her maiden tag having been sourced at the 2020 sale for £25,000 to Select Racing. Race Result - HERE

WRECKLESS ERIC (below) was bought at the 2022 renewal of the Yorton Sale by connections for £38,000 & he looks a very smart recruit thus far boasting form figures of 2 1 1 !! The son of Masterstroke was bred by James & Jean Potter and having won a NH Junior Hurdle on his previous run, the 4yo beat older & more experienced rivals to win well over hurdles at Huntingdon yesterday (Monday). As commented by the Racing Post afterwards, he looks open to more improvement & looks exciting.
